Dr. Brian Moritz, associate professor of online master's Journalism programs, is the co-author of a new sports journalism textbook, "Introduction to Sports Journalism," published in September by Human Kinetics.

Moritz teamed with Dr. Matthew Zimmerman and Dr. Lauren Burch on the project. "Introduction to Sports Journalism" sheds light on how and why sports journalism is changing, provides a comprehensive overview of contemporary sports journalism, and prepares students for a dynamic career in the field.

Moritz contributed chapters on news gathering and writing, news gathering in the digital age, and career paths in sports journalism.
