Galway, Ireland
Abbie Lee, Class of 2021
Marketing major, Spanish minor
I loved how easy it was to travel around Europe and see so many new and amazing places. Galway was a perfect fit for me.
An important factor for me when choosing a place to study was the ability to walk to most places, and downtown Galway and the ocean were very close to my apartment.
I strongly encourage anyone interested in studying abroad to really look into their options and talk to staff on campus. It's an experience I will never forget.
Casey Wolfe, Class of 2021
Marketing major
The opportunity for study abroad is one that should never be passed up.
Leaving the country and experiencing a new way of life is one of the best ways to get out of your comfort zone and do something that you could never have done otherwise.
Going to Ireland has been a goal or mine for as long as I can remember and was a surreal experience, once I was there and lived the life of an Irish student.
Riley Dambaugh, Class of 2021
Marketing Major
During the spring semester of my junior year I was lucky enough to study abroad in Galway, Ireland, with two of my best friends.
Galway is such a lively city, never lacking for something new to do, so living there for two months was such fun. I traveled all over Ireland and visited Berlin, Germany, and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Although my time abroad was cut short due to COVID-19, I am beyond grateful for the time I had in Ireland and will forever cherish those memories.
Studying abroad is a life-changing experience that I recommend to everyone.
Paris, France
Sophia Wallace, Class of 2022
Marketing major, international business minor
Studying abroad and doing an internship in Paris was one of the best experiences of my life. It opened my eyes to another part of the world.
By not only living in a new country, but also working there, I could see another side to the experience. It allowed me to see the positives of an international work experience, and now I can see that as being an option once I graduate.
Without studying abroad, I would not have grown into the better person that I am today. I am more culturally aware, independent, and more determined.
CEA and St. Bonaventure gave me the opportunity to study and travel Europe while creating memories with new friends that’ll last a lifetime, and I couldn’t be more thankful for this experience.
Seville, Spain
David Burke
International College of Seville
Studying abroad has been an integral part of my growth as a person.
During my residence in Seville and travelling throughout Europe I learned to be resourceful, confident, humble and open-minded, and that there is so much to see in our great big world.
I will never forget the people I met or the memories I made.
The city motto of Seville is Sevilla no me ha dejado, which means Seville has not abandoned me. This is true for me and I will always cherish everything she taught me.
