Four St. Bonaventure University students inducted into English honor society Sigma Tau Delta

Four St. Bonaventure University undergraduate students have completed membership requirements for 2023 induction into Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society. They were formally recognized at an induction ceremony on May 2.  
 
Inducted were Riley Connors, a sophomore adolescence education and English double major from Williamsville, New York; Julie Mannarino, a junior adolescence education and English double major from Clarence, New York; Nishtha Tripathi, a senior biology and behavioral neuroscience double major from Austin, Texas; and Madisyn Wright, a sophomore adolescence education major from Buffalo, New York 
 
Eight St. Bonaventure seniors and Sigma Tau Delta members have received honor cords to wear at St. Bonaventure’s 163rd Commencement exercises, on Sunday, May 14. They are Iris Archer, an adolescence and English double major from Marlton, New Jersey; Sara Bozuhoski, a health science major from Binghamton, New York; Mariah Carriero, an inclusive, early and childhood education major from Buffalo, New York; Charles Doebert, an English major from Syracuse, New York; Kristyn Johnson, an English major from Lowman, New York; Eleni Mananas, a political science major from Wappingers Falls, New York; Tucker Reilly, an English major from Thousand Oaks, California; and Sarah Sefried, an educational studies major from Buffalo, New York.
 
With over 900 chapters worldwide, Sigma Tau Delta is the largest honor society in the field of language, literature, and writing. It confers distinction upon high-achieving English majors and minors. St. Bonaventure University’s Theta Rho chapter is moderated by Dr. Lauren Matz, professor of English.
