Regretfully, the decision has been made to cancel Reunion Weekend 2021 for all classes.
While news of the COVID-19 vaccine availability is encouraging, there are still concerns surrounding travel restrictions and in-person gatherings. The health and safety of our campus and alumni communities are our top priority, so the difficult decision had to be made to cancel both the May and June Reunion Weekends.
Next year's celebration split into two events, one in May, another in June
Although we are deeply disappointed that Reunion will not take place as originally planned, we are committed to celebrating in 2022.
Our initial plan is to invite all those who missed their Reunion in 2020 and 2021, along with those who will normally celebrate Reunion in 2022 (those who have a graduation year ending in 2 or 7).
In order to accommodate everyone, the university will host two Reunion Weekends in 2022:
All who graduated in 1972 or prior will celebrate in May 2022.
Please note that there will be no on-campus housing for the May Reunion Weekend. There are more than 250 hotel rooms within 2.5 miles of campus.
All who graduated fewer than 50 years ago will celebrate in June 2022.
Please note that there will be off- and on-campus housing available for the June Reunion Weekend.
Special celebrations are planned for these featured class years, but as is always the case, graduates of other class years are welcome to attend Reunion Weekend festivities.
Save the dates of these big 2022 Reunion Weekend events. Additional details and registration information will be posted here in the months to come.
If you have any questions, comments or ideas about any of the above, please contact Joe Flanagan, Director of Alumni Services, by email or (716) 375-2375. Until we can gather as a community once again, please stay safe and know that your Bona family holds you in its prayers.
