Jacob Smeraldo, a sophomore at St. Bonaventure University from Jamestown, New York, presented his research at the American Chemical Society Western New York Undergraduate Research Symposium April 4 at Canisius University.
A biochemistry major working with Dr. Alexander Rupprecht, Smeraldo’s research poster was titled “Self-Assembled Monolayers: A Transition from Disordered to Ordered, and Their Applications in the Industrial and Biomedical Fields.”
“I’d like to thank Dr. Scott Simpson for opening this opportunity to me and, of course, my research adviser Dr. Rupprecht for all of his guidance, not only in preparation for this event but also in helping me learn the experimental process,” Smeraldo said.
