The combined-degree programs grant talented high school seniors provisional acceptance into medical school upon entry to St. Bonaventure. Early assurance programs allow students to apply for early acceptance to medical school as SBU sophomores.

Alex Gu ’15
Now in his third year as a medical student at George Washington University School of Medicine, Alex graduated from SBU with a B.S. in biology. His interest in curing rheumatoid arthritis inspired him to join the George Washington Rheumatology Interest Group, of which he is currently co-president.

Jaisree Iyer ’16
As a student within the Franciscan Health Care Professions program, Jaisree earned her B.S. in biology from SBU in 2016. She was awarded the Borer Fellowship while at SBU and spent her summer engaged in full-time research efforts with St. Bonaventure faculty. Jaisree is now excelling as a second-year medical student at George Washington University School of Medicine.
