St. Bonaventure University students will be making a buzz at the Super Bowl again this year. That’s “buzz” as in WSBU 88.3 FM The Buzz, the student-run campus radio station. Six SBU students will join the throng of media professionals from around the world who will flock to Las Vegas next week for Super Bowl LVIII.

For the second year in a row, 75% of all Americans plan to watch the Super Bowl according to a new survey of United States residents released today by the Siena College Research Institute (SCRI) and St. Bonaventure University’s Jandoli School of Communication.

St. Bonaventure University junior Delaney Chase will join other talented college journalists this summer as they report on “Democracy in Crisis” through a Carnegie-Knight News21 fellowship.

Students in a special topics course at St. Bonaventure University will explore pop culture’s role in the media landscape and its impact on public policy.

Dr. Tara Walker, assistant professor in the Jandoli School, had her paper titled “On shaky ground: Stigma and otherness in direct-to-consumer advertising for bipolar disorder drug treatments” published at the end of November in the peer-reviewed Journal of Communication Inquiry.

Anne and Dr. Richard Lee, lecturer and professor, respectively, in the Jandoli School, took part in a panel session at the Mid-Atlantic Popular & American Culture Association Conference on Nov. 10.

Dr. Kimberly DeSimone, professor of leadership and director of the master’s in leadership program in the Jandoli School of Communication, gave three DEI presentations over the past month.

The Jandoli Institute at St. Bonaventure University will sponsor a panel discussion titled “An Election Eve Discussion: Looking at 2023 and Beyond” on Monday at 4 p.m. in Walsh Amphitheater on campus.
