St. Bonaventure University will host a screening of “Medicine Man: The Stan Brock Story” on Tuesday, April 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of Francis Hall on campus.
A panel discussion will follow the film, and refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
The documentary highlights the life and legacy of Stan Brock, founder of Remote Area Medical (RAM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free medical, dental and vision care to underserved populations.
RAM has made a meaningful impact locally, hosting clinics in Olean twice in the past three years. These events brought together medical professionals and volunteers — including many SBU students and community members — who worked to support individuals lacking consistent access to health care.
