Ed Moore, executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Rich Products of Buffalo, New York, a global leader in the food industry, will discuss business ethics in a talk at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at St. Bonaventure University.

Moore’s address, titled “Ethics in Business: Mission Impossible?” is the annual fall presentation of the William C. Foster ’62 Center for Responsible Leadership, part of the School of Business at St. Bonaventure. The talk, which is open to all at no charge, will take place in the amphitheater of the William F. Walsh Science Center on campus.

“The Foster Center was established in 2016 to help ensure that St. Bonaventure students have the opportunity to develop as responsible leaders with grounding in our distinctive Catholic Franciscan values. We strive to help develop ethical students who will carry those values into their career fields,” said Dr. Michael Gallagher, assistant professor of finance and Foster Center director.

“Each year we bring to campus successful business professionals who embrace the idea of responsible corporate leadership, and this year we’re particularly pleased to welcome Ed Moore of Rich Products, a family-owned food company known for fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion,” said Gallagher.

With more than 30 years of global human resources leadership experience, Moore has been recognized by industry leaders as an outstanding executive business partner and developer of top talent. He heads all of Rich’s human resources functions, including talent management and acquisition, and oversees Rich’s corporate communications and community relations teams, helping to sustain the company’s reputation as an employer of choice.

Prior to joining Rich Products in 2014, Moore held leadership roles at the Kellogg Company, the Sara Lee Corporation and MetLife, where he supported businesses operating in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

He chairs the Business Leaders Task Force, a collection of senior leaders representing major employers from across the Buffalo region dedicated to strengthening workplace inclusion. He also serves as strategic adviser on Rich’s Workplace Inclusion Advisory Team.

Moore is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo, where he majored in industrial and organizational psychology. He is an active member of Geneseo's School of Business Advisory Council. He has completed advanced coursework at Syracuse University and Cornell University.

A native of Upstate New York, Moore and his wife, Lori, have been married since 1986 and have three adult sons.

The William C. Foster ’62 Center for Responsible Leadership is made possible through an endowment gift by Daria L. Foster, retired managing partner of Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC. It honors her late husband, a former member of St. Bonaventure’s Board of Trustees.
