Dr. René Hauser, associate professor and director of the MSED in Inclusive Education program, joined Jenna Ferrara, a recent graduate of the program, in presenting at the 40th annual conference of the American Council on Rural Special Education, held March 19.
Dr. René Hauser, associate professor and director of the MSED in Inclusive Education program, joined Jenna Ferrara, a recent graduate of the program, in presenting at the 40th annual conference of the American Council on Rural Special Education, held March 19.
The virtual presentation, titled "MTSS to meet the Needs of Gifted Learners," presented the results of Ferrara's capstone research project. Ferrara is a teacher in a local school district that uses Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
The presentation focused on how the implementation of this system created new learning and social opportunities for students who are gifted.
