Dr. Nicole V. Schilling, professor of Educational Leadership, is pleased to share the publication of her new co-edited book, “Problems of Practice: Case Studies of the Superintendency.” This volume explores the complex, real-world challenges facing today’s school leaders, including issues related to school finance, personnel management, conflict resolution and superintendent–board relations.
Through a collection of case studies grounded in practice, the book highlights the policies, processes and decision-making strategies used by superintendents to navigate these demands. Bridging theory and practice, this work is designed to support aspiring and current educational leaders as well as scholars by offering actionable insights and opportunities for reflection in an increasingly complex educational landscape.
