Feb 22, 2026

No nail biting needed today.

A day after nearly blowing a 3-0 lead, St. Bonaventure left no doubt in the final round of the American Collegiate Hockey Association Regional Tournament.

Down 2-1 midway through the second period, the No. 3 Bonnies (23-4-1) scored five unanswered goals to rip RPI, 6-2, and advance to the 16-team ACHA National Tournament March 12-17 in Saint Louis.

The Bonnies were relentless, outshooting the sixth-seeded Engineers, 71-51. Kyle Karoleski stopped 49 shots for the Bonnies.

Ryan Levesque, Cole Bailey and Presley Schiltz each scored twice. Bailey’s goal to tie it at 2 late in the second period unleashed the Bonnies offense.

Michael Clouden had three assists and Gavan Schwenkbeck and Brennan Mcdermott each had a pair.

The Bonnies defeated Sacred Heart, 3-2, Saturday to reach Sunday’s game.

The top four teams in each regional advance to nationals. No. 1 Niagara, No. 5 Army and No. 9 Northeastern also advanced from the Northeast Regional.

The national tournament bracket will be announced later this week.
