One more box to check and it’s off to Texas.

St. Bonaventure (8-0) exploded in the second half en route to a 55-12 win over East Stroudsburg Saturday afternoon in the South Region semifinals of the Collegiate Rugby Championship national small-college playoffs.

The win sets up a regional final Sunday morning with Lee University (5-1), which beat Hofstra, 50-32, in the other semifinal, giving the Bonnies a chance to avenge last fall’s 31-10 regional semifinal loss to Lee. The winner of the 10 a.m. match will advance to the final four in Houston Dec. 2-3.

Ranked No. 2 in the National Collegiate Rugby small-college poll, the Bonnies led 17-5 at halftime but erupted for six tries and four kick conversions in the second half.

Makenna Ramsey scored three times, Kaylee Middaugh added a pair of tries and Mia Popp, Abbey Beres, Ashlee Reid and Kyla Nentarz each scored once for the Bonnies; Nentarz added six conversions.

The title game will be livestreamed through the Veo Live app. Viewers need to download the Veo Live app through their mobile app store and then follow “Veo US Partnerships” to get notified once a stream has started. The app must be downloaded on a mobile device but once the video begins it can be casted onto a TV or computer.
