Students Without Borders

Students Without Borders is a graduate student-run organization that brings together students who desire to provide lifesaving medical care to global communities that need it most, irrespective of racial and political factors.

Members of the organization actively engage in activities that are related to the medical profession and collaborate with other organizations whose goals align with the mission and values of St. Bonaventure University as it corresponds to global service initiatives.

What we do

Yearly medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic
Participate in Remote Area Medical clinics
Serve the St. Bonaventure campus and surrounding communities

Our annual mission trip to the Dominican Republic provides our students with the chance to collaborate, under the guidance of preceptors, in delivering life-saving medical care to communities in need. This year, we proudly served a record-breaking 887 patients at the clinics. We are committed to growing that number, expanding our reach, and continuing to provide care to global communities.

Eligibility

Any university affiliated person (students, faculty, staff) who is interested in participation in SWOB activities and efforts is welcome to join. Membership is focused on providing leadership opportunities, especially to students enrolled in the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program in St. Bonaventure's School of Health Professions.

Thank you to everyone who joined our annual Spaghetti Dinner! On Sept. 26, 2025, at the Pulaski Club, our students prepared and served a delicious meal for the local community.
