The Department of Occupational Therapy at St. Bonaventure University is proud to house a satellite TRAID office, focused on enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through technology.

Through this satellite location, community members, faculty, staff, and students can loan a variety of equipment free of charge.

TRAID is a program that offers residents with disabilities access to a wide range of assistive technology through Regional TRAID Centers. These centers are dedicated to meeting the unique needs of individuals requiring assistive technology by providing device loans and hands-on training. The program is managed by the Justice Center with support from grants provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living (ACL), the New York State Department of Health, and ACCES-VR.

Through the Regional TRAID Centers, individuals can borrow various devices to use in different environments, including at home, school, work, or within the community, allowing them to trial technology that best supports their needs.

SBU's TRAID satellite office is located on the second floor of Francis Hall, and can be accessed via an appointment with Molly Vaughan, clinical assistant professor of Occupational Therapy.
