An article by Dr. Erin Lundeen, clinical assistant professor of Nursing, and Dr. Connie Perkins, founding director of Nursing, was republished by American Nurse Journal in a special edition celebrating National Nurses Week, May 6-12.

The article, "Self-compassion in practice," first published in September of 2024, asserts that self-compassion increases job satisfaction and improves the ability of health care workers to sustain compassionate caregiving.
