Dr. Connie Perkins, founding director of Nursing at SBU, recently lobbied in Albany with members of the American Nurses Association-New York for bills associated with health system transformation, expanding patients' access to care, attaining health equity, ensuring workplace health and safety, and expanding nursing workforce development and support.
