Admission Criteria


Qualified MEP program applicants include those who have a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with an overall GPA of 3.0.

Applications will be accepted through the Centralized Application Site for Nursing Programs.

To apply, students should submit:
  • official transcripts of all undergraduate coursework showing proof of passing (C or 2.0) score in all program prerequisites
  • one letter of recommendation attesting to personal ability to undertake the rigors associated with a future career in health care.
Students will be conditionally accepted into the MEP program until all required documents and records, including health records, are received.

Program prerequisites

Students must meet the program prerequisites to be properly prepared for the academic rigor of graduate education. It is the student’s responsibility to clarify any discrepancies with the courses including but not limited to, course title and credit hour. Please note that we do not accept AP credits for any prerequisites.

Prerequisites include:

  • Transfer policy

    Due to the concentrated nature of the material in the MEP program, no graduate credits will be accepted toward the degree. All courses in the program serve as a required component for graduation.
