Friedsam Memorial Library recently concluded the celebration of  the 75th anniversary of the library building. The photo above shows our main reading room as it was in the past. In 1938, when the library building was brand new, Friedsam Memorial Library was where students found the resources needed for papers and projects, just as they do in 2014. Today, the library also offers group and individual study and work space, along with two computer labs, wireless printing facilities, and WiFi throughout the building. If you need a quiet space, head upstairs to the top floor, which was designated, by student request, as the "quiet floor."

During Summer 2014, the tables in the reading room were refinished and new carpeting was installed. In addition, the reading room windows were repaired and refinished, and part of the roof was replaced.

On March 7, 2013, the library had a 75th anniversary re-dedication. The original dedication of the building was held on March 7, 1938. Watch the video from the anniversary re-dedication on 3/7/2013 here.  You can read more about the Library's history here.
