Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of journalism and mass communication, gave a pair of invited presentations over the past month on Ulysses S. Grant.

On Sept. 21, he and collaborator Frank Scaturro spoke about Grant-as-general to the National Museum of the U.S. Army.  On Oct. 12, Mackowski and Scaturro spoke about Grant-as-president to the White House Historical Association. 

Both presentations were based on their co-edited book of essays, "Grant at 200." 

Mackowski also presented on Oct. 6 at the Art of Command Conference in Middleburg, Virginia. His talk was titled “The ANV’s B Team: Robert E. Lee’s Second String in the Overland Campaign.”
