PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Mohammed A. Jahed, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Sciences and the Coordinator of the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program at St. Bonaventure University. Dr. Jahed holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from Curtin University, Australia, an M.S. in Information Systems from Central Michigan University, USA, and an MBA and BBA in Management from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Dr. Jahed’s teaching expertise spans production and operations management, supply chain management, management science, business analytics, information and decision support systems, organizational behavior, leadership and teamwork, and international management. Prior to joining St. Bonaventure, he taught in the Department of Business and Economics, University of North Carolina, Elizabeth City, USA; the School of Information Systems, Curtin University, Australia; and the Department of Management, University of  Chittagong, Bangladesh. He was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Business, Innovation and Strategy at Southwest Minnesota State University, USA. Dr. Jahed also brings industry experience in banking, operations, data analytics, and supply chain management across sectors such as banking and financial services, food processing, apparel, logistics, and small businesses.

Dr. Jahed’s broad research interests include operations and supply chain management, agility and resilience, digital transformation, B2B marketing, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. His recent publications in refereed journals include the Journal of Cleaner Production, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, The Cost and Management, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, and Management Research Review. Dr. Jahed regularly presents his research at various international conferences and the regional and annual meetings of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI).

Dr. Jahed is actively serving St. Bonaventure University and the broader research community. He developed a new instructional program, the M.S. in Business Analytics, at St. Bonaventure. He currently serves on the Assurance of Learning and the Curriculum Committees in the School of Business. Dr. Jahed has served on doctoral dissertation committees at several universities. He has led intra- and inter-institutional research teams and contributed as an organizing committee member, session chair, and discussant at various conferences. Dr. Jahed is the chief editor of the journal Society & Sustainability
