Dr. Tyrone Bynoe, associate professor of education and director of educational leadership (advanced school leadership preparation), is the lead author of a book scheduled to be released in August 2023 by Rowman and Littlefield, Inc. 

 

The book, "The Essentials of Finance for School Leaders: A Practical Handbook for Problem-solving and Meeting Challenges," is co-authored Dr. Steve Bounds of Arkansas Technical University and Dr. David Martinez of the University of South Carolina. Bynoe will use this book as the main text in teaching the course EDL 524. School Finance.

 

Bynoe has also submitted a book chapter titled "A Conceptual Model of School Principal Mentoring Nurturing Wellness Within a Continuum of School Leadership Preparation." This manuscript is being considered for entry and eventual publication (In Kutsyuruba, B. & Kochan, F., Eds., Mentoring for wellbeing in schools; Information Age Publishing.)

 

Additionally, Bynoe gave two paper presentations, featuring an evaluation of the durability of school finance systems during COVID-19 and on Massachusetts school finance policy during fiscal year 2022, at the annual National Education Finance Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 4 and 5. He performed duties during this conference as a regional editor of the state-of-the-state reports, which will eventually be published in the Journal of Education Human Resources.
