Dr. Xiao-Ning Zhang, professor and director of the biochemistry program, was among an international consortium of scientists who worked together to produce a comprehensive reference transcriptome for the model organism Arabidopsis.

 

This provides a more reliable resource for the research community. It is published in Genome Biology in July 2022, titled "A high-resolution single-molecule sequencing-based Arabidopsis transcriptome using novel methods of Iso-seq analysis."
