December Recognition Ceremony
St. Bonaventure University celebrates graduate and undergraduate students who complete their degree requirements in the fall semester at its annual December Recognition Ceremony.
December 2023 Ceremony
The 2023 December Recognition Ceremony was held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, in Rigas Family Theater of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.
The December Recognition Ceremony is an opportunity for the university president, provost, members of the Board of Trustees, faculty members and others to formally acknowledge each student's accomplishments. A student and faculty member are chosen to address the degree candidates, their family members, friends, professors and others in attendance.
Graduates are not required to wear caps and gowns for this ceremony. We adhere to a semi-formal dress code, with suits and ties for men and appropriate attire for women. Graduates will process from the theater onto the stage for the ceremony.
A light reception in the atrium outside the theater is held immediately following the ceremony.
