Rooted in Mission, Focused on the Future

St. Bonaventure University Strategic Plan (2025–2030)

At St. Bonaventure University, our past is rich with purpose, our present is energized with promise, and our future is grounded in a singular truth: We are a community rooted in mission and focused on the future.

Inspired by our Catholic-Franciscan tradition, we chart a bold path forward that furthers intellectual excellence, ethical leadership, and compassionate service. This plan, a collective effort of our entire community, outlines four strategic pillars — Community, Institutional Strength, Innovation, and Purpose — that are deeply rooted in our mission and will guide us to 2030 and beyond.

Annual SBU Move Out off this year, but students can still donate locally

Jun 24, 2026, 09:00 by Thomas Missel
The annual St. Bonaventure Move Out Sale will not be held this year, but students are still encouraged to donate items they choose not to take home to local donation centers.

The annual St. Bonaventure Move Out Sale will not be held this year, but students are still encouraged to donate items they choose not to take home to local donation centers.

“The university calendar is just quirky this year, and doesn’t allow us enough time to properly set up, conduct the sale, and tear it back down,” said Alice Miller Nation, director of University Ministries.

“The limited time between Commencement, which is a week later than normal, and the annual Alumni Reunion presents a challenge too difficult to overcome. We considered holding it after Reunion, but we just couldn’t get enough students back in June to assist with the effort because too many will have already started their summer jobs.”

However, students can still make a difference by donating their unwanted items to one of three local agencies. Students are asked to abide by the items these organizations are able to accept, highlighted below.
