St. Bonaventure will host its 39th annual Homecoming Weekend as St. Bonaventure graduates return to their alma mater to reconnect with each other, current students and faculty.
The event kicks off a 7 p.m. Wednesday when the women’s basketball team plays host to Rhode Island. From there, a plethora of events are planned, the headliner being the Men’s basketball game vs. St. Louis at 4 p.m. on Saturday. For tickets to the game, call 716-375-2500.

Current students can benefit from the career panel of recent graduates and networking reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in the Reilly Center’s Hall of Fame Room.
“The alums bring a real-world experience to the undergrads and share with each other what happened in their lives since they left SBU a few months or a few years ago,” Joe Flanagan, director of alumni relations, said.
Flanagan said that while Homecoming Weekend is widely considered an event for alumni, current students haven’t been forgotten.
“We want to be sure the current students are included in the weekend; the alumni career panel and student alumni networking reception, in addition to the bus to the hockey game with free ice skating after the game, and snow tubing in Ellicottville are some of the activities that can be enjoyed,” Flanagan said.
Prior to the basketball game, a memorial Mass will be held, remembering Fr. Reginald Redlon O.F.M., former University president, at 3 p.m. in the University Chapel.
