Dr. Connie Perkins, founding director of Nursing, served as a panelist for a national  webinar titled “Teaching with Families in Mind: Family Caregiving Competencies in Nursing Education: A Panel Presentation from the National Consortium for Family Caregiving in Nursing Education.” She is a founding member of the national consortium.

In addition, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) published Perkins’s case study “Unfolding Home Health Family Caregiver Stroke Simulation” in its Teaching Resource Database. The peer-reviewed resource provides nursing faculty nationwide with access to teaching materials aligned with AACN’s Essentials document, which is an accreditation requirement.
