St. Bonaventure University’s acclaimed Jandoli School of Communication has announced the launch of a new Bachelor of Arts in Content Creation, a 44-credit major designed to prepare students for careers in the rapidly evolving world of digital media.
Set to enroll its first students in fall 2026, the major draws on the Jandoli School’s longstanding strengths in multimedia storytelling, social media strategy, writing, design and digital marketing.
The program’s curriculum — built largely from existing high-demand courses — combines foundational communication skills with advanced training in video production, graphic design, social media engagement, and analytics. Students will culminate their studies with a capstone course, Advanced Digital Content Creation, and a required 400-hour internship experience.
“This program builds on the Jandoli School’s strong track record and meets the needs of students who seek to work specifically in content creation,” said Aaron Chimbel, dean of the Jandoli School. “The major not only meets student interest, it positions them for success in a media world where strong digital communication skills are essential.”
The Content Creation major responds to increasing workforce demand for graduates skilled in digital communication, social media management, online engagement strategy, and multimedia production. A market analysis shows strong employment and salary prospects in digital communication fields, with recent growth across related industries.
Students in the program will complete 38 credits of required major courses and six credits of electives, for a total of 44 credits within the major.
The new major aligns with the planned fall 2026 opening of the Jandoli School’s expanded and renovated facility, which will offer updated studios, collaborative learning spaces, and upgraded technology to support digital storytelling and production.
“This is the perfect time to introduce a major like this that can draw on our new facility and equipment,” Chimbel said.
Designed with flexibility and future readiness in mind, the program will prepare students for careers as social media managers, content strategists, digital marketers, videographers, brand storytellers and other emerging communication roles.
