St. Bonaventure University has named Anna Addonisio, MBA, CPA, as its new vice president for Finance and Administration.
Addonisio is the founding chief financial officer at Orlando Health Sciences University, where she played a pivotal role in securing financial stability, achieving pre-accreditation status for the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine, and implementing strategic plans to support the institution’s rapid growth.
“Anna’s exceptional leadership and deep understanding of higher education finance make her the ideal person to guide our financial and administrative strategies. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Bonaventure family,” said Dr. Jeff Gingerich, university president.
Her efforts at Orlando Health Sciences included developing financial models, onboarding over 100 faculty and staff, and leading the design of a comprehensive operational infrastructure to support the university’s academic and administrative goals.
Previously, Addonisio held leadership roles within the State University of New York system, including vice president for Finance and Management at SUNY Cortland and senior associate dean for Finance and Operations at Binghamton University’s Harpur College of Arts and Sciences.
At Cortland, Addonisio directed a $150 million annual financial plan, implemented innovative resource advisory councils for collaborative budgeting, and restructured auxiliary services to contribute $850,000 toward student success initiatives. At Binghamton, she developed multi-year strategies to address financial challenges, fostered diversity and equity initiatives, and managed significant infrastructure projects.
In addition to her extensive professional accomplishments, Addonisio is deeply committed to fostering collaboration and inclusivity.
“I am inspired by St. Bonaventure’s commitment to service and citizenship,” Addonisio said. “I look forward to contributing to such a vibrant community and aligning financial strategies with the university’s mission to empower students and create a lasting impact.”
A certified public accountant, Addonisio earned her MBA and Bachelor of Science in
Accounting from Binghamton University. She has also completed prestigious leadership programs at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Wharton Executive Programs and is a fellow with the American Council on Education, where she honed her expertise in strategic planning, resource management and leadership in higher education.
