Dr. Richard Lee, a professor in the Jandoli School, spoke at the Mid-Atlantic Popular & American Culture Association conference in Atlantic City on Nov. 9.

Lee presented the results of a project he conducted with students in his spring 2024 Media and Pop Culture course. The students fact-checked "Weekend Update" segments from last season's "Saturday Night Live" programs to determine how much of the content was accurate.

Lee's presentation was part of the "Discourses of News Media" panel in the conference's Journalism and News Media section.
