Dr. Kathryn J. Andrews, assistant professor of Elementary Education, hosted a Nature Day event for Allegany-Limestone elementary students at Pfeiffer Nature Center in Portville.

Activities were designed and facilitated by 11 Early Childhood Education interns with the support of Mykal Karl, director of the Cattaraugus-Allegany Teacher Center.
 
The event was designed to increase children’s proximity to the natural world and provide a model of the nature-based learning approach for pre- and in-service teachers.
