A Prayer Vigil for Peace in the Middle East will be held at St. Bonaventure University on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. in the University Chapel, Doyle Hall.
The vigil is being planned by University Ministries, the Center for Arab & Islamic Studies, and the Muslim Students and Allies Association.
The event is intended to gather people of different faiths from the campus and local community to pray for peace in the Middle East. The program will comprise readings from the Hebrew Bible, New Testament and the Qur’an, accompanied by the lighting of candles to symbolize Divine revelation to Jews, Christians and Muslims. The public is invited to attend.
