Dr. Christine Uhl, associate professor of Mathematics, had her paper "Metric Dimension of a Direct Product of Three Complete Graphs" published in the Electronic Journal of Combinatorics on April 19.

The paper is a joint work with Dr. Briana Foster-Greenwood (Cal Poly Pomona). In it, they determine the metric dimension for an entire diagonal family of 3-dimensional generalized Hamming graphs. "Our approach is constructive and made possible by first characterizing resolving sets in terms of forbidden subgraphs of an auxiliary edge-colored hypergraph," Uhl said.
