Dr. Susan Branco, assistant professor of counselor education, along with her friend and colleague, Dr. JaeRan Kim, associate professor of social work at University of Washington Tacoma, were virtual keynote co-presenters on March 25 at the annual California Adoption Conference.

 

The keynote, "Adoption is More than an Event: Supporting Adoptees Throughout Their Lives," described the adoptee consciousness model and offered guidance for adoptive family members and mental health providers to support adoptees.
