Dr. Scott Simpson, associate professor of chemistry, and Jonathan Antle, 2021 SBU chemistry graduate, have published an article titled "Multivariable Model Fitting as Applied to Air, a Physical Chemistry Experiment" in the Journal of Chemical Education. 

 

The experiment was an educational exercise where students modeled the behavior of air through a complicated equation called the "Virial Equation of State." This work was supported by the National Science Foundation and St. Bonaventure's Leo E. Keenan Faculty Endowment.
