Fr. David B. Couturier, O.F.M. Cap., associate professor of theology and executive director of the Franciscan Institute, joined Cardinal Alvaro Ramazzini of Guatemala and Sr. Tracy Horan, advocacy director at the Kino Border in Arizona, for a panel discussion on "Justice at the Margins" Conference in Washington on Jan. 31, 2022.

 

The event gathers more than 500 policy analysts and community organizers as part of the annual social justice conference sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. 

 

Fr. David was asked to speak about Pope Francis' thoughts on the connection between migration and poverty and to discuss his research on the Franciscan notion of the "fraternal economy."
