Bynoe to moderate symposium and present international research

Dr. Tyrone BynoeDr. Tyrone Bynoe, professor (as of 9-1-2026) and director of the educational leadership programs leading to advanced supervisory licensure, is the moderator of a May 13 symposium for a book that is in production with Emerald Group Publications titled “Mentoring within the Continuum of School Leadership Preparation, Part I.” Additional presenters include co-editors Dr. Renee Cambiano and Dr. Jim Ferrell of Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, as well as Dr. Kalyn McAlester (Southeastern State University - Oklahoma), Dr. Eugene Pringle (American University - Washington, D.C.), and Dr. Rod Uzat (University of Texas – Permian Basin).

Bynoe also received acceptance of a paper proposal through blind and invited review for presentation at the annual European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) in Tampere, Finland. His paper examines what constitutes central office support for principals leading chronically low-performing schools. He is scheduled to present at ECER 2026, taking place Aug. 18–21. The paper is part of a three-country study analyzing central office support for school leaders in the United States, Iceland, and Sweden.
