An article by three SBU professors titled "Study Abroad Programs: Real-Life Considerations and Cautions" was accepted for publication in a special edition of the Journal of Criminal Justice Education.

The authors are Dr. Samantha Gavin, assistant professor of Sociology and Criminology, Dr. Andrew Dombek, lecturer of Sociology & Criminology, and Dr. Donna Dombek, assistant professor of Childhood Education.

Additionally, Gavin participated in three presentations at the 62nd annual meeting of the Academy of Criminal Justice Services, held in Denver, Colorado, in March. She has completed ACJS program reviewer training and is now an official ACJS program reviewer.
