Heather Harris, associate professor and director of the master's program in Marketing Communication, was invited to speak at Texas A&M University-Commerce on Nov. 21.
She will present her scholarly research titled "Shape Language: Mood, Emotion, Power & Appeal" to communication students. Her research explores how shape is used to convey subtle messages and influence audiences in communication.
As part of the VISCOM Research community, Harris is a leading scholar in the area of shape language and messaging to children ages 1-8.
