Dr. Leslie Sabina (second from left in photo), professor of Music and chair of the Department of Visual & Performing Arts, was one of 20 selected musicians who participated in a performance master class held in Albany in July by recording artist Todd Sucherman, longtime drummer for the legendary rock band Styx.

Sucherman (in black shirt with arms outstretched) addressed rock and jazz percussion techniques and demonstrated many educational exercises. He also offered performance suggestions to each participant.
