Jack Steger, assistant director of Alumni Engagement, was awarded a 2024 Virginia Carter Smith Scholarship by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

This scholarship recognizes individuals who show great promise in the field of educational advancement.

Named after esteemed CASE employee Virginia "Ginny" Carter Smith, who dedicated herself to CASE from 1975 until 1991, this award holds special significance. Ginny's contributions ranged from overseeing publications to advancing minority and women's causes.
