Dr. Heather Harris, associate professor in the Jandoli School of Communication and director of the master’s in communication program, presented her paper titled "Visuals, Power Stances, and Position: Power Messages in Disney Marketing Media" at the Academy of Business Research spring conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, on March 22.

This study examines the use of shape language in movie poster advertising to young audiences to create appeal for Disney animated movies. Harris's paper was awarded Best Paper for the marketing track as voted on by her peers.
