Dr. Heidi L. Henry, assistant professor of counselor education, authored an article titled "Social Justice Identity and Program Evaluation: A Pilot Study of CMHC Students" that was published in Teaching and Supervision in Counseling, a peer-reviewed academic journal. 

This research explores how taking a social justice-focused CMHC management course impacts counseling students’ social justice identity and program evaluation understanding. The findings imply that counselor educators can choose course activities and assignments facilitating the formation of a social justice identity, while simultaneously improving program evaluation understanding in students.
