Dr. Karie Altman, assistant professor of biology, is a co-author on three recently published papers on how temperature and seasonality impact amphibian disease dynamics.

Once a reservoir, always a reservoir? Seasonality affects the pathogen maintenance potential of amphibian hosts" (Wilber et al. 2022) was published in the journal Ecology.

Using metabolic theory to describe temperature and thermal acclimation effects on parasitic infection" (Sckrabulis et al. 2022) was published in the journal The American Naturalist.

A third paper, "Localized carry-over effects of pond drying on survival, growth, and pathogen defenses in amphibians," has just been published online in the journal Ecosphere. Lead authors are Emily Le Sage and Michel Ohmer.
