Penman & Conklin apply multiyear grant to upcoming exhibition; Conklin named to state museum advisory panel

Jan 31, 2022

Sean Conklin, the Quick Center's assistant curator and museum educator, and Evelyn Penman, QCA assistant director, continue work on a multiyear grant administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Museum Association of New York, aiming to build capacity, create sustainability, and grow accessibility in museum spaces.

This year’s focus will be on hybrid digital community outreach in connection with the Quick Center’s upcoming exhibition “Frida Kahlo's Garden.”

Additionally, Conklin has been appointed to the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Museum Advisory Panel. Nominated by fellow professionals in the museums field, Conklin will serve a key role, alongside NYSCA's museum program officer and director, evaluating grants for fiscal year 2022.
