Abkowitz and Fisher present sessions at ACRES conference

Dr. Pamina Abkowitz, assistant professor of childhood education, and Dr. Anne-Claire Fisher, associate professor of inclusive childhood education, copresented two sessions at the 40th annual national conference of the American Council on Rural Special Education (ACRES), which was held online.


Dr. Pamina Abkowitz, assistant professor of childhood education, and Dr. Anne-Claire Fisher, associate professor of inclusive childhood education, copresented two sessions at the 40th annual national conference of the American Council on Rural Special Education (ACRES), which was held online.
 
Their presentations were titled "On the Other Side of Diversity: Embracing Complexities in Rural Spaces" and "Working Together: Rural Universities' Role in Providing Support for Rural Districts."
 
In addition, at the same conference, Abkowitz and a former colleague presented a session titled "Considering Teacher Burnout in Relation to the 8 Dimensions of Wellness."
