Suzanne Soltysik, clinical assistant professor of nursing, was selected by the America Association of Colleges of Nursing to participate in the inaugural AACN-Apple Digital Innovative Bootcamp: From Content to Action, held in July.

 

She was one of 30 nursing faculty from across the nation, out of more than 150 applicants, selected to attend the virtual event.

 

Attendees learned to utilize an iPad for development of assignments, projects and announcements, and to use other tools, such as Apple Numbers, Clips, Pencil, and iBooks. Soltysik became an Apple Teacher by acquiring six skill badges.

 

The Department of Nursing plans to integrate the technology into its program.
