A manuscript by Dr. Althea Need Kaminske, associate professor of psychology, and Dr. Sean Ryan, assistant professor of biology, was accepted for publication at the journal Cell Biology Education - Life Sciences Education. 

The article, titled "Transfer: A Review for Biology and the Life Sciences," reviews the current research and understanding of transfer from cognitive psychology and discusses how learner abilities, taught material, and lesson characteristics affect transfer and provides best practices for biology and life sciences education.
