Lauren and David Matz present papers at convention

Dr. David Matz, professor of classics, and Dr. Lauren Matz, profesor of English, presented papers at the Northeast Modern Language Association, in addition to moderating a panel session on “The Classical Classroom: Learning and Literature in Antiquity and Beyond.”
Dr. David Matz, professor of classics, and Dr. Lauren Matz, professor of English, presented papers at the Northeast Modern Language Association In addition to moderating a panel session on “The Classical Classroom: Learning and Literature in Antiquity and Beyond.”

Dr. David Matz presented a paper on “The Trials and Travails of the Teaching Profession in Ancient Rome” at the Northeast Modern Language Association annual convention in Boston, Massachusetts, March 4-8, 2020. At the same convention, Dr. Lauren Matz presented a paper on “Tea and Coffee as Signifiers of Space and Self in Charlotte Bronte’s The Professor (1857).”
