Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of journalism and mass communication, traveled to Sacramento, California, in November to serve as the keynote speaker at the West Coast Civil War Roundtable Conference.

Mackowski offered talks on the 1862 battle of Fredericksburg and the 1863 battle of Chancellorsville.
